Collection: Archery Gloves
In archery, safety is paramount. The right protective gear ensures comprehensive protection and safety for archers. In archery, our hands are the most important connection to the bow, and their correct positioning and proper contact between the string and fingers are crucial for precise hits. For this reason, they require special protection. The drawing hand, in particular, is subjected to considerable stress due to the draw weight. Therefore, it is important to protect the drawing fingers from injury when drawing the bow. Regardless of the athlete's level of experience, every archer should wear appropriate finger protection (shooting glove or tab ). Find out in our blog post whether a shooting glove or tab is better suited.

Protective goods from Bearpaw Products
Our products are manufactured in Pakistan (Karachi). Our partner in Karachi places great emphasis on consistent quality and good working conditions for their employees. Production employees work eight hours a day and are given ample opportunity to take breaks. Furthermore, our partner provides insurance for the employees and their families, and everyone receives a secure income through employment. The salary of local employees is three times the average for this region. Many of us may take all of these aspects for granted. However, this is an absolute rarity: In Pakistan, working conditions are characterized by poor job security, low wages, and a lack of co-determination rights within companies. Each employee has been carefully selected – they are true experts in their field. This is clearly evident in the high-quality workmanship, consistent quality, and elegant appearance of the products.
Our partner is also B Corp and BSCI certified! "B Corp" is an international certification awarded by the non-profit organization "B Lab" to companies for their social and environmental impact. The goal of BSCI is to improve working conditions worldwide. A specific code of conduct must be adhered to within the supply chain.
Each of our products is handcrafted. Whether it's a shooting glove, arm guard, or quiver, behind every product is a person who carries out their work with love and passion. Our partner employed a team of between 30 and 40 employees to create our products. Each individual is trained in the processes and products. From the sample maker to the final product, the entire team puts their heart and soul into their work. Some employees have been working in their craft for up to 35 years.
Materials for our protective products
For our leather and textile products, we place particular emphasis on the selection and sourcing of materials. The correct use of materials should be sustainable on the one hand, while also ensuring top quality. To bring sustainable, high-quality, and well-designed products to market, we only use REACH-compliant materials. Products and manufactures that meet all the requirements of the EU Chemicals Regulation are considered REACH-compliant. We strive to use as many natural materials as possible. For example, most of our quivers are lined with leather rather than synthetic materials. We strive to source all materials locally and consider short transport routes. The seams on our products are sewn with German Gütermann thread. This is no coincidence, as this thread is particularly tear-resistant.

Shooting gloves for beginners
For beginners in archery, it's crucial to choose shooting gloves made of soft leather or textile. These materials offer several advantages: They are comfortable to wear, provide adequate protection, and allow archers to develop a good feel for the bowstring. A good feel for the bowstring is important from the very beginning to improve technique and achieve more accurate shots.
Recommended models for beginners include the " Dynamic " and the " Easy ." These gloves are designed specifically for beginners and offer the necessary comfort and protection without compromising mobility and feel. Soft leather or textile adapts to the shape of the hand and allows for natural handling of the string.
Shooting gloves for experienced archers
Experienced archers often have specific requirements for their shooting gloves. In addition to a good fit and reliable protection, thicker and more robust materials are helpful for higher draw weights. Thick leather provides the necessary protection for high draw weights acting on the fingers and prevents injuries.
Recommended models for advanced shooters are the " Dark " (buffalo leather) and the " DOA " (deerskin). These gloves are made of high-quality, thick leather that will last even with intensive use.
Shooting gloves for children and teenagers
Children and young people beginning archery should also use soft and supple shooting gloves. These gloves protect young archers from injury while allowing them to develop a good feel for the bowstring and the shooting technique. One example of a suitable model is the " Easy ," made of soft goatskin, which was specially developed for young archers or beginners.
However, it may be beneficial for children to initially shoot without gloves when using light draw weights. This allows them to get a direct feel for the string and improve their technique. However, once they use higher draw weights or their fingers begin to hurt, they should definitely wear shooting gloves to avoid injury.
Criteria for selecting shooting gloves
- Material: Shooting gloves made of leather or textile are durable and offer good protection. Soft leather is particularly suitable for beginners and young shooters, while thicker leather is recommended for heavier draw weights and experienced shooters.
- Fit: The glove should fit well to ensure optimal protection and comfort. A glove that's too tight can restrict mobility, while one that's too loose won't provide the necessary protection.
- Feel: A good shooting glove allows the shooter to maintain a good feel for the bowstring. This is crucial for accurate shots and the continuous improvement of shooting technique.
Conclusion Shooting Gloves
Choosing the right shooting gloves depends on the archer's experience level, the draw weight of the bow, and their individual needs. Soft materials are ideal for beginners, while experienced archers should opt for thick, durable leather. Children and teenagers benefit from soft gloves, but can also shoot without them at first to develop a better feel for the string. Shooting gloves contribute significantly to safety and performance in archery and are therefore essential.
